I would LOVE this bowl to put on my nightstand to collect the jewelry I take off before bed – no more searching for earrings that have rolled off onto the floor in the morning!

Love malachite…maybe because it has emerald. And emerald is my birth stone color, car color, window shutters and door on my home color; get where I’m going with this? Smile! I would love to win + if I did I would put the bowl in my formal dining, it would match perfectly with my gold candelabras.

This is incredibly lovely! I would put the bowl front and center in my “Shabby Chic” cupboard. It would be a nice juxtaposition of luxe and shabby chic.

This bowl is a must have!!! Chic, Chic, Chic! I am a home furnishings designer and absolutely lusting after this bowl. I recently made myself a home office….imagine charcoal grey walls, white, trim, long campaign style credenza refurbished in white lacquer with brass hardware, clear acrylic chairs, clear glass table, orange rug with ogee pattern, and turned closet into workspace with a pop of kelly green inside ….this malachite bowl will MAKE the whole room. It was part of my original inspiration board but can’t quite afford at this point. Please give it a good home….it belongs with me!!

  137. Allison Nickerson Romaine December 13, 2012 | 10:11 pm

I will give it to my father, who adores all things Malachite. His little “powder room” has Malachite wallpaper. (My dad has the coolest, eclectic style.) He’s done so much for me, so I would love to pass a beautiful gift on so he can display it in his cute cottage.

  138. Jody Meza December 14, 2012 | 12:48 am

Wow- that is one gorgeous bowl. My grandmother gave me a crystal malachite necklace when I was a child and said that it would “protect me” (she was a little witchy in a good way). I would put it on my bookshelf next to a picture of my grandmother.

  139. candycandoo December 14, 2012 | 12:49 am

Nothing says the Garden of Eden like the color green! What an ancient and beautiful stone is Malachite. I would put it in a place of prominence in my garden-like living room with leopard and zebra accents.

First, I am sending warm and cozy thoughts for a speedy recovery to your dad. My girls were so strong for me and their dad as we all won’t thru a 5 bypass. He’s super good now!

Second, I think the bowl is fabulous and I would love it on my handcrafted dining table to catch the afternoon sun rays.

This is a gorgeous fabulous bowl! My collection of stone frogs and turtles I bring from resort places all over the globe is growing (some of them are green). I think some of the critters can live in this bowl. I would put the bowl on my coffee table.

In the powder room so guests can stylishly take off their jewelry while they was their hands…

  161. Kelley December 15, 2012 | 3:51 pm

I would put the bowl on a white antique demi lune table in my bedroom. It would be a lovely splash of color!

  167. libbyroswell December 16, 2012 | 7:42 am

What a lovely bowl! I am in the process of decorating an art deco-themed front room (perhaps previously known as a parlour or sitting room, or even as a “living room.”) As a redhead, I live and breathe all things green, but as of yet, I have very little green in this developing room–most notable so far is a brilliant green ceramic square Chinese garden stool.

Please consider me as a contender in your malachite bowl giveaway.

  168. Mimi December 16, 2012 | 8:20 am

I would love to place this beautiful bowl either in my entry or living room to be seen by family and friends. Or I would give the bowl to a family member who has a love of all things with a rich green color.

  169. pve design December 16, 2012 | 10:03 am

  171. Mireille Sanchez December 17, 2012 | 3:06 am

What a beauty! I’d put it in my home office on my desk. It would be out of the main family traffic, but in clear view for all to enjoy. It would probably even look chic with Legos in it, though I wouldn’t recommend it.
