Rainy Days and Mondays

It’s been raining for four days in New York which reminded me that I need a new trench coat.  Normally I would pull out my beloved Gryphon trench but it looks like it’s finally time for it to be retired. I also have a lovely trench with a fur collar from Barney’s private label but its longer length lends itself best to skirts and dresses and not pants or cropped jeans. Obviously, I could just go straight to Burberry but I’m trying to be a little good about not going too crazy with my spending.  I think I’ve finally settled on the J.Crew Collection Icon Trench which reminds me of the one Costanza Pascolato is wearing above and some of the lovely ladies below. Although I don’t love rainy days the grey skies are putting me in the mood for Paris which is another reason I need to find a new trench soon.

Every spring I swear I’m going to buy myself a tan trench, but then a year goes by and I’m still trench-less. I bought a black Barbour one last year, but you’ve inspired me to add a tan one. Cheers! Laura

MUST have a trench in Paris + an umbrella at the ready! I live in Paris part-time + plan to be there May-July. Would love to meet you for a coffee if you are so inclined. What is the best way to connect?

Oh I love how you have a picture of Thompson St. on this post. One of the most charming streets in the Village…and I’m totally partial because it’s my street. 😉 Thanks for the daily inspiration!!

I just bought my first ‘to die for’ trench coat at Coach in Las Vegas. Looks very Burberry actually. Gorgeous cut, draping of fabric. Looks sexy and chic.

That photo of Soho with the steam bustling up just made me very nostalgic for NYC. Not sure why exactly, but it did! Love this set…especially the last photo with Audrey!
