Chic in Paris: Buly 1803

I was joking with a friend this week that I’ve all of the sudden become everyone’s tour guide to Paris. I try to keep up with what’s new and the GoGo Paris guide helps not only with their guidebooks each season but also from their twitter and instagram accounts.  That’s how I found out that Buly 1803 just opened in Saint Germain. The beauty brand was resurrected after Ramdane Touhami and Victoire de Taillac found the archives of Bully which was founded by Parisian perfumer Jean-Vincent Bully. The couple decided to spell the name with one L to modernize it. You may remember that Ramdane also had a hand in Cire Trudon so it’s no surprise that the new shop looks like an old apothecary shop that’s been around since the 19th-century. The over 400 beautifully packaged products look like the perfect souvenir to bring back from Paris. And it’s also located conveniently close to Dries Van Noten.

This shop is brilliantly staged and the branding is masterful. Thank you for an early look at Buly 1803.

Ooh, I love how vintage looking the shop is! That first image reminded me of the painting “La Patisserie Gloppe” by Jean Beraud. Just the whole old-world feel of it made me immediately think of that artwork. 🙂
