Also out this weekend is the Men’s Style issue of T Magazine.  I already picked up a copy and let out an audible gasp when I saw the photos of the Connecticut home of Sir John Richardson inside.  The London-born Richardson started his career in the art world by opening the New York office of Christie’s in 1960 but has become best known as the biographer of Picasso. At 90, he’s currently at work on the last book of the multi-volume series, as well as curating the upcoming exhibition Picasso and the Camera which will open October 28th at Gagosian Gallery downtown.

As you might expect, the buildings on his Connecticut estate are filled with works by Picasso and artwork and antiques collected over his long lifetime.  In the accompanying video, he calls it “an accumulated mess” and that he “loathes the decorator look” and that surroundings should “reflect one’s own taste.” Amen to that.
