I’m headed to Paris on Wednesday for fashion week and I’m praying the snow that’s due Tuesday doesn’t delay my flight.  I can’t wait to get out of this arctic tundra.  The 50 degree temperatures will feel like summer compared to the 20’s we’ve had in New York for the last two months.

I’m not only excited for the fashions but also the architecture and design.  We’ve rented an apartment from Haven in Paris that I can’t wait to share with you but until then, let’s enjoy this gorgeous space designed by Stéphane Olivier that I found on Nuevo Estilo. It’s a lovely mix of the traditional architecture and modern furnishings in a neutral palette.

In front of the fireplace above are a chair and footrest upholstered in Zimmer + Rohde fabric, a group of round side tables, made ​​with fossilized trunks from gallery Stéphane Olivier. On one side of the antique gilt frame mirror is a Magiscopes-sculpture, and work from the Mexican artist Feliciano Bejar.

The dining area has  Xilos  table and  Calypso chairs from Maxalto. The ancient Chinese sideboard with black patina, Angelo Brotto lamp and pieces from around 1970 by the ceramist Antonio Lampecco. The painting is by Jordi Alcaraz.

The gathering area is kept separate from the dining area with the gray carpet silk from Golran and the sectional Toot sofa by Piero Lissoni from Cassina.

Antique garden benches have been brought inside the apartment and mix with the contemporary pieces. 

The daybed is Jacques Adnet from the the 1940’s.

The Eros table created by Angelo Mangiarotti of Carrara marble is the highlight of the entry. The “carpet” made of marble delineates the space.

The plates in the kitchen are from Fornasetti. 

The wenge and white kitchen features Bertoia stools. 

A low wall also makes headboard which separates the dressing room from the bedroom which is much more ornate than the rest of the apartment. Two shelves floating shelves act as tables which each hold golden lamps from Pierre Cardin. ON the wall is a gold finish mirror-sculpture Raindrops created by Curtis Jeré in 1968.
