I came across this Madrid apartment designed by Luis Puerta recently on Nueva Estilo. The Google translation of the Spanish article leaves something to be desired but from what I can make out, the plan was to allow the apartment to “breathe” with clean spaces and “less is better” aesthetic. I personally love the mix of contemporary pieces and antiques that I always think European designers do so well. The custom designed mirrors allow light to flood the apartment as well. I hope an American magazine features Luis Puerta soon so I can read more about him. Or maybe I’ll just have to add Madrid to my next travel itinerary.
