The 2016 Oscars red carpet was a little disappointing. Some of the nominees did not look as good as they’ve looked thus far this award season but luckily there were still a few who knocked it out of the park.

Saoirse Ronan wanted to wear green in honor of Ireland and Calvin Klein obliged beautifully. I think it was interesting that her stylist Elizabeth Saltzman had her wear two different Chopard earrings. I would have preferred if she had just worn the emeralds but it got everyone talking.
2-oscars-2016-julianne-moore-chanel-habituallychic
Julianne Moore was perfection in a black Chanel gown and Chanel jewels.
3-oscars-2016-leonardo-dicaprio-habituallychic
Leonardo DiCaprio in Armani tux.
4-oscars-2016-jennifer-garner-versace-habituallychic
Looking good is the best revenge and Ben Affleck should be eating his heart out. Jennifer Garner looked darn good in custom Versace. You go girl.
5-oscars-2016-sarah-silverman-habituallychic
I’m so happy to see Sarah Silverman taking the red carpet seriously this award season. I’ve never seen her look better or more grown up.
6-oscars-2016-eddie-redmayne-hannah-redmayne-alexander-mcqueen-habituallychic
Eddie Redmayne and his pregnant wife both looked marvelous in Alexander McQueen.

Jennifer Lawrence just gets prettier and prettier. It’s easy to forget that she’s only 25 years old. I do like this Dior dress more than some of her previous looks but I look forward to when her contact is done so we can see her in other designers.
7-oscars-2016-kate-winslet-ralph-lauren-habituallychic
I absolutely love Kate Winslet but this was a misstep by Ralph Lauren. The black silk lamé fabric is not flattering but I do like her loose wavy hair.
8-oscars-2016-margot-robbie-dvf-habituallychic
I also like Margot Robbie’s casual hair and her gold Tom Ford dress and custom bag by The Row.
9-oscars-2016-chrissy-teigan-john-legend-habituallychic
Someone tweeted that they want someone to look at them the way John Legend looks at Chrissy Teigen and I have to concur. They were so cute together on the red carpet.
10-oscars-2016-charlize-theron-dior-habituallychic
Sometimes I don’t love Dior on the red carpet but they did right by Charlize Theron. The giant Harry Winston diamond doesn’t hurt either.
11-oscars-2016-olivia-munn-stella-mccartney-habituallychic
I thought Olivia Munn looked fresh and modern in her tangerine Stella McCartney gown but I do think she should lay off the plastic surgery and lasers. She doesn’t quite look like herself these days.
13-oscars-2016-tina-fey-versace-habituallychic
I thought Tina Fey was Julia Louis-Dreyfus at first but she still looks beautiful in her purple Versace gown.
14-oscars-2016-reese-witherspoon-oscar-de-la-renta-habituallychic
Another pretty lady in purple was Reese Witherspoon in Oscar de la Renta by Peter Copping.
12-oscars-2016-naomi-watts-liev-schreiber-habituallychic
Another cute couple was Naomi Watts and Liev Schreiber who picked out Naomi’s Armani dress.
15-oscars-2016-sophia-vergara-marchessa-habituallychic
Sophia Vergara looked elegant in Marchessa. I would have preferred the top to be a bit higher but that’s her look and she sticks to it.
16-oscars-2016-brie-larson-gucci-habituallychic
I was so disappointed by Brie Larson in custom Gucci. She looked like a bridesmaid.
17-oscars-2016-cate-blanchett-armani-habituallychic
Cate Blanchett always amazes and her sea foam green Armani was dreamy. I don’t think this dress would have worked on anyone else either.
18-oscars-2016-priyanka-chopra-zuhair-murad-habituallychic
I had never heard of Priyanka Chopra before but she looked drop dead gorgeous in her Zuhair Murad gown. I think we’ll be seeing a lot more of her.
19-oscars-2016-emily-blunt-prada-habituallychic
Emily Blunt is adorable and her baby bump looked pretty in Prada.
20-oscars-2016-alicia-vikander-louis-vuitton-habituallychic
The one I was most disappointed by was Alicia Vikander in Louis Vuitton. She looked like a cross between Belle, Ariana Grande, and a balloon window shade. Poor thing.

And that’s a wrap.
