Gracious Gramercy Park Apartment

It came as no surprise that CeCe Barfield Thompson worked for interior designer Bunny Williams when I saw that drinks table perfectly placed next to an armchair in her apartment feature on One Kings Lane today.

“I learned so much in Bunny’s office, but I’d say what I really took away is the importance of comfort and practicality. Form and function are equally important, and to create a successful space you really have to marry the two seamlessly.”

One of the reasons I really love this apartment is the use of antiques. They add that touch of soul to each room while without making them look too stuffy for a young family. CeCe even uses them in her daughter’s room.

“Just because something is usually thought to be more adult doesn’t mean it can’t be perfectly at home in a children’s room. I think it’s better to buy things that you can have forever and your kids can grow into.”
