I just learned the sad news that artist Jeremiah Goodman passed away at home this morning. I was lucky enough to meet Jeremiah for a profile on the blog and to photograph him for my book. Below is part of what I wrote after meeting him for the first time.

It was really interesting to hear Jeremiah speak about growing up during the Depression.  He said that it instilled him a great work ethic and he still gets up every morning to draw and paint.  He also told me that he actually gets upset if a job falls through because he likes to work.  I mentioned before but I think when you have a passion for what you do, it keeps it from feeling like work.  It was really clear that Jeremiah loves his work and it keeps him young.

The worlds of art and design will not be the same without him and he will be greatly missed.

I remember this post Heather. It was such a wonderful view into his colorful and inspiring life. You quietly highlighted his passion in a way very fitting for his work. Subtle, detailed and layered for the eyes discovery. Thank you. Truly one od interior design and decorations greatest and underrated gems. May his light continue to shine… xo Joy

Jeremiah was a true talent and his work inimitable. I’m lucky enough to have one of his interior renderings of a bathroom which he inscribed to Dorothy Rodgers. I posted it on my primadarling Instagram if you care to see. He will be greatly missed, thankfully he leaves behind a huge body of work.
