Jacques Grange is one the world’s most exclusive interior designers. He started his career under Henri Samuel and honed his craft under Didier Aaron before going on to decorate for his own clients which include Yves Saint Laurent and Pierre Bergé, Paloma Picasso, Terry de Gunzburg, Valentino, Sofia Coppola, Aerin Lauder, and Lauren Santo Domingo among others. He has lived in the former apartment of Colette in the Palais-Royal for the past 30 years and now some of his treasures can be yours.  Masterpieces and rare objects from his collection will be up for auction in Jacques Grange | Collectionneur at Sotheby’s in Paris on 21 November. Items include the Ostrich Bar by François-Xavier Lalanne featured on the cover of his book, a Damian Hirst Spin Painting, photographs by Irving Penn and Maplethorpe, and David Hockney drawings. He said about the sale, “I’m not so young. I have too many things in my home. What I decided is that it’s nice to have a new energy in your life at this time.” I can totally relate.
