Oakley Manor

I was chatting with someone recently about how it may be freezing in New York in the winter but at least we get a lot of bright sunny days that make it a bit less depressing. That’s not the case for most of Europe so I was wondering if grey winter weather was the reason for such beautiful paint colors and patterned fabrics in English homes. I found this Georgian country house called Oakley Manor after falling down a rabbit hole on the House & Garden website. Further research revealed that it was for sale within the last few years. Not sure why the owners would sell after finishing such a lovely renovation but someone got a great turn-deal on the large property.

I’ve included photos from the May 2017 House & Garden feature and the real estate listing and you can read more about the house and grounds on each.
