Ciao Roma!

J. Crew has done it again. This time in Rome. Do you think the catalog team suggests beautiful cities in which to shoot so they can get a nice vacation out of the deal? If I worked there, I would! As usual, the clothes are just as beautiful as the city. Makes me wish that stupid groundhog hadn’t seen his shadow this morning so we’d have an early spring!

I wish I could just buy out all of the new arrivals. Maybe it’s just that I’m dying for spring too!

If the team is reading this, here are my suggestions for picturesque cities for the next catalogues: Beijing; Hanoi; St Petersburg; Asmara, Eritrea; Manaus, Brazil; anywhere in Argentina. Oh and, yes, Madrid!

Fantastic! Wish I could get the catalogs too…I’ll just have to settle for drooling over their website instead!

Ok, This video was a visual feast (nothing unusual for J.Crew). Rome is a place dear to my heart and J. Crew’s clothes express my personal style exactly. The absolute perfect mix of classic syle and hip youthfulness. Tradition meets innovation. Their colors are brilliant…I wish they’d clothe me from head to toe so I could be a modern “sandwich-board girl” – a walking ad for them.

Jennifer, Me too! I think I might have to buy something fun just so I can look at it in my closet until spring!

An Aesthete’s Lament, I was also thinking St. Petersburg! I wonder if they are going to do all the Grand Tour cities first and then move onto more exotic locals or surprise us. I can’t wait to find out!

Suzy, I always feel bad if you don’t have access to something I post so I’m glad you can at least peruse the website!

Annechovie, They certainly do know how to make us want the clothes…and to travel!

Rome is near and dear to my heart. I LOVED the video on J Crews website…it makes me long for a walk through Bourghese Park or spending a few euros along Via Condotti!

Have you seen J Crew’s yellow sweater with the italian map printed on it? If it wasn’t for the color (bright yellow) I would have bought it in a second. I’m not much into wearing bright colors.

Me, Myself and I, I didn’t see that sweater. I will have to check it out. I’m surprised they didn’t do that print on a skirt as they normally do.

I actually saw the sweater in the store about a month ago. They have one that features London also (but we all know my heart belongs to Italy!). Thanks for the post…it inspired me yesterday (hint, hint!).

Yes they do a fantastic job. I would imagine, having done production, that they did the Ireland shoot and Italy shoot at the same time/back to back.

travel costs ect would be pricey to send everyone back for a second shoot. I like that they did the mid holiday catalog from the studio…they obviously blew their budgets on these two. Well worth it. They make fantastic clothes
