You Know You Love It!

I think maybe by now you’ve realized that my tastes range from the high brow (auction previews, independent movies, beautiful books) to the very low (US Weekly, Real Housewives, Kid Rock), but I’m not exactly sure where my love of Gossip Girl lies. It seems to straddle the line and I love it! Sure I’m too old to be watching but so are you probably. But they wear clothing more expensive than most adults and they frequent the same hangouts as well so why wouldn’t I watch! Monday’s episode mentioned Socialista which means that the restaurant that was already impossible to get a reservation for will be even more impossible to get into now. (Thanks Gossip Girl.) The show is my guilty pleasure and if it’s yours too, then you’ll love the article about it’s popularity and appeal in New York Magazine entitled The Genius of Gossip Girl. Apparently, I’m not the only person not in high school who watches the show! Admit it, you know you love it!

*L – I guess when 16 year olds are wearing Chanel and Hermes, it is way above US Weekly!

i’ll admit to a total love of the show. like today when someone at work asked me to google the nightingale-bamford school and i said “oh, you mean constance-billard?”

i admit to a total love of your blog, too.

ohh yeah we talked about this in the fabric lab at school today. we decided gossip girl was like ace of base. totally in the guilty pleasure realm.
although i am totally addicted so far i have been pretty unimpressed with the interiors. if we are talking about the elite of new york i want to see something a little more special, you know?

alright alright, I honestly try to not watch but my roommates do and if I am home somehow or another I end up on the sofa trying to catch up on the weekly gossip. I love the clothes but I love that its set in the UES. I think I watch the atmosphere more then the drama. Apparently it sparked my interested because yesturday I found myself up again a gate watching them film those beautiful people… I love NY! and dan humphrey. xoxo

M, You’re too funny! It’s nice to know about high brow things but you definitely need to be able to talk about pop culture around the water cooler…or blogland in this case!

Kelly, You have to tell me where you saw them filming so I can stalk them and take photos! I also love that it takes place in New York and you never know when they are going to be eating at your favorite restaurant or shopping on your favorite Street(Elizabeth). It definitely makes me feel more a part of the show.
