That a great quote. Very introspective.

I love how the room looks like it’s glowing with all the soft light. Beautiful room.

You probably already know about this, but if you want to go CRAZY, go to http://www.whitehousemuseum.org

It is the most comprehensive collection of White House interiors through history I have ever seen!

I love the quote as well..
If your interested I did a little post of the White House Restoration which Jackie Kennedy initiated upon residency in the house….. I loved researching it.. and the photographs I found are in my opinion, phenominal. There is a video of the actual White House Tour with Jackie Kennedy.. {via You Tube}I am unfortunately too new to blogger to know how to add video to my posts.. Anyway, in part five of six of the video she is in a room showing the unfinished pieces.. Two things I loved in that part of the video. One: The look in her eye.. the excitement and joy she had in finding and restoring these legendary pieces. Two: In the floor of the room was an old mirror.. it was broken.. She explained that it was going to be placed in the “red room” when complete. In the “after” picture of the Red Room to the far left, you can see that very mirror hanging on the wall…. it felt to me.. just wonderful.. 🙂

Underfunded Heiress – Great Name! The room is from the 1960’s. I think it looks very beautiful.

Cary – the site seems a bit slow but I look forward to checking it out more tomorrow. Thanks for the link.

Something Old/New – that’s the sweetest story! I can’t wait to go check out the video and photo!
