Not that you need another excuse to go to Italy but just in case, Flair, my favorite store, just opened a new outpost in Rome. Unlike their stores in Florence, Milan and Capri that have the signature black walls, this one has a lighter color scheme but don’t worry, the furniture and art will remain a mix of old and new. I might have to plan a trip soon but until I do, I will continue to visit their only American shop on Grand Street in Soho. And no, they didn’t pay me to write about them! Although, I think they did give me one of their fabulous smelling candles once. Ciao!

What great timing for this post! I’m actually going to Italy at the end of the month and always love great recommendations. Which one is best – Florence or Milan? I’ll be in both cities. I haven’t been to Italy in years so if you have any other recommendations (for anything!) please send them my way.

    Thanks.

Tawney – the remind me of a pair that Christian at Maison21 just posted. They are a great color and shape!

Krafty – since Falri carries vintage items as well as new, I recommend checking out both stores! I also love Falsi Gioielli in Florence. One of my favorite necklaces is from them. I can’t find a website but this links tells you more about them and lists the addresses, http://www.primeviste.net/dnn/SearchResults/Firenze/tabid/61/Default.aspx. Bon Voyage!

    Hello,
I love Rome as much as I dig Habitually Chic.
You must check out Caffe Canova-Tadolini on the posh Via Babuino.
It is a museum/bar/cafe/restaurant incorporating the studio of 19th century Neo-Classical sculptor Canova and his student, Tadolini.Imagine sipping a campari and orange in the company of graceful marble statues. The staff is very obliging and allow as much photo-taking as you desire.
