Miranda Brooks Landscape Design

One of my readers loved the photo of the woman and child in the garden from yesterday’s post. The woman in question is landscape designer Miranda Brooks, the child is her daughter and the garden is one that she designed. I recently found her website and have been drooling over her work ever since. Any New Yorker will tell you that all we dream about is having some outdoor space to call our own and when I do, I am calling Miranda to work her magic! Her gardens and landscapes have a relaxed feel that make them look like they they have been there forever and even her more manicured gardens don’t look overdone. What I love most about her website is that it includes watercolor plans and quick drawings and not just the finished designs. They would all look gorgeous framed and hung up for all to admire. I hope you will check out more of her work because it is to be admired as well! Bon Weekend!

Oh:) It was such a nice surprise to find this post, thank you for illuminating me with Miranda Brooks, I find her work amazing. I checked out the website and the most I liked the Marbella works, it had a great Mediterranean spirit in it.
    Nice Weekend to You too!

Thank you for this post. Perhaps you have shed some light on an often misunderstood profession. Many associate landscape design with a truck and mow & blow equipment.
Clearly Miranda is extremely talented and a wonderful representative of our art.

Oh I love these!! Especially the last one. Yes, landscape design requires much talent and I just adore it well done.

Being a New Yorker, I have to drool over such expanses of land.

But, being a New Yorker, I (we) also get to see Robert Indiana’s sculptures in our daily city scape!

    Oh Heather,
What a discovery for me and all your other readers of course. There are so many ideas here that I can’t stop drooling.

At a time when we all need to chill and cinch up those purse strings you come to the rescue with garden ideas that fill the heart and don’t have to break the bank.

Used to be “shop ’til you drop”. Now it’s garden ’til you’re too tired to go shopping. Really!!

I have nearly 2 acres of gardens here in Mendocino and I find that I barely miss Neiman’s.

You’re the best and once again I adore your blog missy!!!!

I love the vine covered dome, and the formal path cut through the wild-looking meadow.

I’m working out designs in my sketchbook for the four acre gardens at Garvinweasel, and this post provides real inspiration.
