Sag Harbor

If you asked me before for my favorite town in the Hamptons, I would have said Southampton without missing a beat. It’s pretty and perfectly manicured and has lots of cute stores but this weekend, I finally succumbed to the charms of Sag Harbor. It has such a quaint Main Street, USA feeling that I never took the time to notice on all my other visits. I especially love all the shop signs and their old fashioned fonts. There are also flags flying all over town that I can already picture a patriotic Memorial Day parade marching down the real Main Street. Happy almost holiday weekend!

Delightful! I love the architecture and small town feel to the store fronts and streets. Even though I’m a Southern girl, I could feel at home there. Thanks for sharing!!

I never get to enjoy the Hamptons and dread the Memorial week end deadlines….every installation has to be done by THE week end.. Sag Harbor is also my favorite, not quite as grand and pretentious as the Hamptons. It retained its village feel.

Sag Harbor has alaways been a family fave. My aunt still heads out from Manhattan on weekends. I love it for reasons you’ve shared & for the fact that its not the celebrity driven culture that other nooks seem to drown in.

Isn’t Sag Harbor adorable? I love the American Hotel there, so old school. I’ll be out in Montauk for the holiday, another adorable Hamptons town to play in!

If we were going to move to any other town in the Hamptons (we’re in Water Mill), Sag Harbor would be our choice too 🙂

We must have passed each other on the street. I was also in Sag Harbor and am posting your pics and coverage on my blog as you have so many fabulous photos and I was fortunately spending my client’s money in Jed, Ruby Beets and Fischer’s.

    Great post!
