Slow Boat to Egypt

Since I mentioned Christian Louboutin’s houseboat in Egypt in my last post, I thought I would share the photos. It’s very simply furnished but looks more inviting and comfortable to me than Valentino’s glamorous yacht. I can only just imagine how amazing it must be to float down the Nile on this gorgeous vessel and feel the breeze in your hair. I’m glad to see he’s used all the money he’s earned from selling shoes for something so wonderful!

How cute is he??? I’ve always wanted to float down the Nile on something fabulous like this. My grandmother just returned from a big trip to Egypt last month and this reminds me that I need to see her photos! I’ve been so out of touch and am drooling over all your recent posts as I catch up! Go Heather!

I love that this boat isn’t chock-full of ‘stuff’. Still looks damn luxurious!! Very tasteful.

egypt is my most favourite country in the world! i visited 3 years ago and am longing to go back….this reminds me of my sail along the nile—though it wasn’t quite so lavish lol. how i’d love to be on this boat though!

I love how exotic it all feels, but still looks so inviting! And wouldn’t you love to visit with him?

I met Christian Louboutin at Mario’s in Seattle — he was there with DvF. He was a charming little pixie and she was glam glam glam. Quite a pair!

My sister lives in Egypt and I’ve been twice. On one visit, we took a ride down the Nile (on a cheesy dinner boat with a belly dancer) and it was pretty amazing to think, here I am on the Nile River. We also took the train up to Alexandria from Cairo and had a great time during an Eid celebration. Visit my blog to see pics (tag = egypt). None of my experiences were as glamourous as these photos depict but it’s an amazing country and I look forward to going back again.

The textiles are so beautifully low key and very present at the same time – like the color scheme in general. The banquette is really fun!

Oh that looks lovely! I’m so envious of all of you who have been on the Nile. I need to get out and do some more traveling. It’s been too long.
