Model Stella Tennant is the granddaughter of the Dowager Duchess of Devonshire and it looks like she learned a lot from her chic grandmother.  Stella and her husband live in a beautiful home on a farm in Berwickshire, Scotland featuring de Gournay and Cole & Sons wallpaper and even a tepee in the backyard.  Stella has also been known to feed the chickens and also has a pink bathroom just like her grandmother.  I’m wondering if this is a common British habit or just something passed down.  Whatever the case, I am definitely filing it away in my inspiration file.  Enjoy!

Lovely home with lots of windows for natural light. The wallpaper is soothing and the furnishings fit nicely in each space. I enjoy your blog!

Last a couple of your posting are so facinating. I read all the articles you linked. This caught my eyes “Possessions are such a burden,” she says. “I long for less.” by Lady Liza Campbell

    Great posting!!
    Thank you.

I can’t say it’s my style (although the architecture and grounds are gorgeous), but it does totally fit the way I envision an English country house. The blue wallpaper is lovely.

Gorgeous! It’s like the younger, light-hearted version of Chatsworth! Now I need a pink bathroom…

Love the wall paper, but loving the pink bathroom the most. What a perfect shade of pink!If possible, I’d be painting my bathroom that color as we speak! Oh how I miss the days of color and paper on my walls…this interior decorator has to live with LOG walls forever now that she’s moved into her new husband’s home he built all by himself-log by log! I don’t have the heart to tell him how much I miss having drywall! Don’t get me wrong, it’s as pretty as log homes can possibly be, but Honey-Pine covers my walls and ceilings in EVERY room. So keep these pretty pics coming, Heather. I desperately need my daily fix of color, please! 😉

My UK grannie always had a pink bathroom too. Gorgeous place, very traditional british decor with a twist or two.
