Just because I’m excited for autumn, it doesn’t mean that I’m not trying to enjoy summer’s fleeting days.  I think these photos and quote sum up the end of the season.  Bon Weekend!

Stunning images! For some reason it still looks 10 degrees cooler in all of them than the sweltering 100+ heat index we have had all summer! Enjoy your weekend!

Thank you, I’m guilty of trying to rush ahead to autumn, my new winter coat and scarf are all purchased; I shall slow down!

Awww! PrettyStuff is my daughter! She will be so honored to have been credited on your blog! She’s a fabulous “internet scavenger” for photo inspiration! And I too am honored as I took the 3rd picture in Westport Harbor, MA where we have a perfect summer every year!

I am a knitting designer so never mind seeing fall come but never want my kids to go back to college! 🙁 Enjoy what’s left of it!!!

    ADORE YOUR BLOG!

Ahhhhh… thanks for that breath of fresh air. Even though my kids are back in school already, I’m not quite ready to let go of summer.

Hi Heather, I am marveling at the quality of light in these photos. It is so different from the light on the West Coast–much more ethereal and deep. It does seem to be the light of summer’s end–a little nostalgic. Personally, can’t wait for Fall. Thanks for a great way to start a Saturday. Mary

These images are wonderful. And I am in the same boat, while I am excited for autumn, I don’t want the long days and warm evenings to disappear just yet. =)

I love these photos! I was just looking up ones like these last night and dreaming about the day I will own my own little place (that hopefully looks something like the places in the pics!)

I love the pictures you included in this post, and the quote is absolutely perfectly suited. The final picture seems as if it could be the door leading from summer to fall. Beautiful. Thank you for sharing!
