While we’re discussing Derek Lam, I figured I might as well repost his fabulous downtown loft.  As I’ve mentioned a million times before, I love to see where fashion designers live.  Their creativity always carries over to their interiors and they are usually filled with interesting objects.  It’s funny that Derek’s apartment doesn’t have any patterned fabrics except for some subtle throw pillows.  Kind of reminds me of his fashions.  Enjoy!

    I really like the walled window that reaches up to ceiling height.
    The drapes that start at the ceiling are fabulous!
    The balcony is pretty gorgeous too.

    I’m surprised his art is displayed so low in the room with the turquoise setee… the massive chunk of white space feels so empty compared to the rest of the photos

    love the vignette with the chess set though
