Model Chic in Madrid

Hope everyone had a great holiday and those of you on the East Coast are surviving the snow.  I’m keeping my fingers crossed that my flight will take off on Tuesday but until then, I’m going to continue drooling over Naty Abascal’s Madrid home.  I came across it while I was flipping through Hola! magazine at Rizzoli.  I don’t speak or read Spanish so I can’t tell you anything about it but it looks like she has a fabulous art collection.  Naty was a model and is friends with Valentino so its elegance doesn’t surprise me.  It also doesn’t surprise me that her neice is just as beautiful.  They make me want to start my New Year’s diet and exercise regime today instead of January too.  Enjoy!

Oh, so fabulous. Perfect eye candy for a Monday morning. Good luck with your flight and stay safe and warm… I have to admit, Madrid sounds a little better right now than rainy Seattle!
    Have a great week…

    Heather,

I”m happy you had a great time! I had one of the best Christmas of my life! 🙂

The snow is being crazy! I’m in Canada (East coast) and I can’t believe how white is out there… but still very beautiful. I love seeing the snow on threes.

There’s something so wonderful about this place, but even more about these women. How elegant, eh? That’s inspiring!

Who cares if you can’t read Spanish..these pictures speak for themselves…. Seriously though I am working on my Spanish and all of the goodness coming out of Spain motivates me all the more.

    Have a great trip.

Absolutely gorgeous home, and I love their personal style, too!

And I’m with you about the exercise regime, too! I feel like I’ve eaten nothing but sugar and cheese for the last week 🙂

HOLA! is one of my guilty pleasures because of the sometimes very interesting interiors. The version for Great Britain, HELLO!, is less consistent on style, focusing more on pop-stars-I’ve-never-heard-of, football (soccer) wives, and the extended British royal family.

Fabulous! Let me tell you that Patricia is not Naty’s dougther, she is her niece. Naty has two sons… And all of them are so beautiful and elegant as Naty.

Dear Heather, Naty Abascal is a fashion icon and she works as the estilist of Spanish (and original) Hola Magazine. She was married to a duke (she divorced him and after he died) and has two sons. His elder son is the present Duke of Feria and he married recently, you can check the magazine. The girl in the pictures is the daugther of her twin sister.
I adore your blog, I´m Uruguayan of Spanish ancestors. I always read your blog and this is my first post. And I also adore NYC, I hope to visit it soon.
Happy New Year an long live your blog

Hi Heather, I love Spanish design! That is a gorgeous home–I love the colors and energy. Spanish women are born naturally thin, with perfect cheek bones and presence. Blessing for a safe trip back to NYC. Mary
