Chic Inspiration

As I mentioned in my first Chateau de Groussay post, its decoration has inspired many interior designers.  Miles Redd based the design of the painted wood floor in an entry, above left, on the inlaid stone floor at Chateau de Groussay.  The entry is much smaller than the room at the chateau so the scale has been reduced.  I think they both look great!

How fab is the green accents and wall colour in the second photo. Just beautiful. So different the windows all over the upper part of the room? Why I wonder?

I love the colours in the original space, but the floor looks incredible in both! That’s probably one of my favourite entries.

Oh those floors! Lovely and a definite departure from the ho-hum usual.

I love the idea of painted hardwood floors. Such a great way to change up the look without going to tile.

That floor looks perfect in both spaces. Very creative!
