Spring has Sprung at Talbots

I’ve been quietly shopping at Talbots for about a year now.  Ever since my mother dragged me into the Shadyside store over Christmas and I realized that they had cute dresses, their petites fit me perfectly, and the prices couldn’t be beat!  I just received their Spring catalog yesterday and it looks like Julianne Moore is also a fan.  I think I might have to head to the store today for that yellow skirt.  My days of wearing shorts are over but you young fashionistas need to buy those suede shorts!  They are tres chic! Happy Spring!

I like Talbots. It seems that is where I have been buying most of my clothing lately. But not a Julianne Moore fan. (oh well).

I think Julianne Moore is capable of making me buy anything… She photographs so well. Beautiful ads

I’m 24 and I love what she’s wearing! She looks gorgeous in these photos. Isn’t it awful when we feel embarrassed for shopping at a certain place? There’s a store in here in Canada called Cassis that I love, despite its intended older audience. I say, wear what you love! Heather, I think you’d look fabulous in any of these – esp. the yellow skirt!

Oh my, who woulda thunk? The skirts look just great and that crisp white shirt is just what I’ve been looking for. Julianne looks divine. Take that, fashion snobs! Thanks Heather.

I’ve been sneaking in there for the past year, you are so right, the styles are really pretty and you can’t beat the prices. Thanks for sharing!

Don’t you think she is a dead ringer for Lindsay Lohan on the third last picture. I shop at any store regardless of its target. As long as it has stuff I like.

I read this Talbots catalogue yesterday and really enjoyed it. I think Talbots is getting more current and artsy to capture a look that offers more than just traditional. I have to say Julieanne Moore looked a bit airbrushed…not a wrinkle in sight! Oh well, the clothes looked great on her.

These pictures are gorgeous – I’m a huge Julianne Moore fan and she makes the Talbots clothes look like a million bucks! I’ll have to pop in to look at the skirts and dresses.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen Julianne Moore look better! And, I agree with you on that yellow skirt! Fabulous!

Shadyside as in Walnut Street? If so, too funny – I grew up outside of Pittsburgh, and go to Walnut Street every year when I’m home for the holidays. Small world!

Talbots has done a terrific job reinventing itself over the last year. I love that they chose Julianne Moore this season! I did very well here for some cute basics in the fall – leopard skirt etc. Not all the stores carry the super chic items – but I’m sure the ones in NYC will.

I also love the looks Talbots have created in the past year. It meets both my country and city look needs. I love their trouser jeans and their no-iron shirts. Good for them to have the intelligence to hire Jullianne Moore to be their Spring face!!

I’m so happy to see you post this about Talbots. Last month I was visiting my almost 90 year old grandmother who kept insisting I take a look at the Talbot’s catalogue (which she’s been pushing since I graduated from college). I couldn’t believe my eyes!

OMG! Me too! It has been 20 years since I stepped into a Talbots (think I was also wearing a lot of Laura Ashley at the time!). But the Camel coat on Linda Evangelista go me into the store this fall — and then they have a great selection of pencil skirts in great colors for a great price and they did a fab Chanel jacket knock-off. I was so surprised at the selection and the young (prob 24) store manager said they had completely re-vamped the image (much to the chagrin of the long-time customers).

Whoever is in charge over at Talbots is doing an amazing job. I love all of this – it’s very feminine and totally chic!!
