It saddens me to read of your personal attacks. I absolutely adore your blog! It’s what I look forward to every morning I check my emails. So much inspiration and energy, beautiful photos and obviously a beautiful person you are.. You MUST let the negative stuff roll off your back, hold your head high & carry on. Hi Heather – I’ve been a follower of yours for a few years now, but have commented infrequently. I guess I’ve always been a bit intimidated by your standing in the blog community and your success and have admired from afar (Sydney infact). You always have such beautiful and inspiring posts and I’ve marvelled at and admired your success and achievements, which are so well deserved. I started my own little blog a few months back, and it’s been a steep learning curve. I can only aspire and dream of having your kind of success. However, I was so surprised to read your recent post about nasty comments and the form of sabotage that seems to be happening so much in the blog community at the moment. I seem to be writing comments on blogs around the world consoling the author and offering comfort and advice about ignoring bitchy comments and those who seek to bring the mighty down. But it amazed me that you would be the recipient of such a thing as well, and I guess surprising that it would have such an impact on you. These kinds of things put me a little off blogging and I wonder why I aspire to great heights when this kind of thing can happen to the successful, but surely the positive far outweighs the negative and it must be worthwhile in the end? I’m so excited to be coming to New York at the end of next week for the Gift Fair, plus looking for design inspiration, business opportunities and some great shopping. I’m coming from Sydney and leaving my kids at home with Dad. Wow, what a treat! Anyway, just wanted to say thanks for your inspiration, rise above it, and know that for all of us around the world who follow you and admire you, HChic is a great example of deserved success, and I wish you much more of it.
