NYFW Spring 2012: Rachel Antonoff

During fashion week, the big designers and shows get most of the attention but it’s also important to support the younger designers as well.  On Thursday, I stopped by Rachel Antonoff‘s Spring/Summer 2012 presentation.  The runway shows at the tents can cost thousands of dollars so many designers show off site and this one was downtown in an old theatre space on West Street.  The haunted house sets illustrated by Alia Penner were just as cute as the clothes and Antonoff herself.  Too bad we have to get through winter first before we can buy any of her adorable dresses.  Happy Fashion Week!

The clothes are adorably cute, and Alia is a star as well. What wonderfully inventive and cost effective sets. Really great.

I totally agree with you that we have to show love to the smaller and newer talent out there! Such a cute collection and I love the theme! It’s also a nice change from all the other runway photos.
    Have a great night!

Some very sweet designs, and I love the interesting presentation. I’ve got my eye on that maxi dress for next spring – it’s fab!!
