Blue & Green Christmas

Someone asked me what color theme I was going to use for decorating this year. Um, the one that results from whatever I find when I unpack my decorations.  I haven’t had a big tree for years so I didn’t even think about working around a color scheme.  If I do plan one for next year, I might go with blue and green.  It would certainly coordinate with my decor and as you can see from these photos, it looks pretty darn chic.  Bon Weekend!

I also do not have a theme…we have been collecting ornaments for 25 years and have special old ones from the family…. it’s so fun each year to decorate with “memories”…..

This colour scheme is lovely though..my fave is the little feather tree in the urn…

I love blue and green for the holidays, so many different shades you can use. Classy and simple!

I shot the Gold Coast Chicago last week, and my favorite house turned out to be a very colorful one, rather than just the traditional red and green.

You can see shots on my blog, I think the neighborhood is just at its prime right now.

At Darlington House we carefully coose a color pallete for each room, taking our color cues from what is already in the room. One of the photos you show was taken in our house by MSL but it was a complete fabrication of theirs, with wallpaper tacked up on he walls, a table brought in, and their own tree. A set peice, really. It was still fun, though! Reggie

I had not thought of blue as a Christmasy colur, but these images look great. I may have to move away from silver and red… next year!
