Seating Arrangements

Now that my book is finished, I have been picking up lots of new novels.  This week I’m reading Seating Arrangements by Maggie Shipstead.  I’m only on chapter three but so far I’m enjoying it especially since it’s the opposite of chic lit. Although I like to lose myself in those types of books too, this is a bit more real.  It takes place over a wedding weekend and I like that the story is told from the father of the bride’s point of view.  Also doesn’t hurt that it matches my Missoni beach towel. (Just kidding.) If you’ve ever summered in New England or taken a ferry to your weekend house, I think you’ll enjoy Seating Arrangements too.

This is just the Starting off point I need to decorate my living room! I’d love rain washed lacquer with a linen top.

Read it, loved it! ‘Alys, Always’ is fabulous as well, if you’re looking for another to add to your list…

Everyone needs a book / towel matching set!

Since this is my very first summer in New England, having just moved to Boston, I think I may have to pick up this book (and maybe a new towel too) for my next weekend at the beach!
