More Malachite and Gorgeous Green

My malachite bowl giveaway was a good excuse to put together a post of more malachite and gorgeous green images.  You probably heard that Pantone recently named emerald green the color of 2013.  I feel like this was more of a reaction that a prediction.  Green has been a popular color for a while, so much so that it’s become my new favorite neutral.  I bet all the other colors are pea green with envy now…pun intended.

Love emerald! Really I just love jewel tones in general. I’m super excited about the emerald tones being in, I’m a pale brunette and emerald is always a winning color on me 🙂

I’m always amazed at how difficult it is to find clothing and other products in a true, rich emerald green. Lots of other greens, but emerald green, no, except occasionally in couture. I hope Pantone’s pronouncement helps change that. Thanks for the photographs! Leslie in Portland, Oregon

malachite was always my favorite color, but enough jewelry or clothing accessories in single, not too much. xoxo

Thanks for the great photos! Immediately after Pantone announced Emerald as the color of the year I contacted several of my yarn suppliers to urge them to put the color into their lines. You can find Emerald in fabrics which I need but the yarns are also important!

Love this post! Planning to use the fabric in my dining room. Would use the bowl in a niche I have in the dining room – to contrast with my blue walls.
