Heart

I was particularly upset with what happened in Boston yesterday.  Boston was my home for five years before I moved to New York and it will always hold a special place in my heart. Patriot’s Day is a day of celebration when almost everyone has the day off.  Parent’s take their kids to the Red Sox game and people cheer on their friends and family running the Marathon never expecting it could be marred by tragedy.  My heart goes out to everyone.  It also makes you realize that life is short and we should live every day to the fullest.

I went to college in Boston, graduated three years ago, and now live in South Africa. It also holds such a special place in my heart -it is heartbreaking to see the images and not be able to be near friends who ran the marathon yesterday (who are, thankfully, all ok).

My heart goes out to all involved. We cannot hide out though….lets live life to its fullest and not live in such fear as these coward terrorists would have us do!

As a Boston resident this is the first such post I have come across in my reader today and I am glad to see that our wonderful city is in your thoughts. (I’m a transplant from Albany and needless to say I LOVE NY) Thanks for the NY love, we need the good vibes here in our fair city on this sad day!

Another former Bostonite here… This attack felt personal for me too, besides having friends on site, but the city is strong and we will not be cowered by cowards.
