Chic Capucine

I’m a huge proponent of “to each his own” but whenever I see fashion bloggers in their technicolor outfits, endless arm parties, and unnatural nail art, I want to run screaming in the opposite direction.  I think that’s why I have an affinity for the French editors. My new favorite is Capucine Safyurtlu, the fashion and market editor of Vogue Paris.  Her ensembles are super simple but ridiculously chic.  It’s an effortless look that makes you remember the girl and not the getup.  If anyone needs me today, I’ll be out buying a new pair of white jeans.
Bon weekend!

I see white pants are good for all seasons in Paris; we need to translate that here too! These ladies look geat.

One of the best things about European style is how seamlessly it transitions for every age- the technicolor outfits and nail art just seem like trying too hard after a certain age. I think dressing in a dignified way at every age is the way to age gracefully 🙂

You neglect to mention their bodies are more chic than their clothes…

    Agreed. Simple.

Tres Chic. Understated elegance and a very natural demeanor. Love her style, Heather!

I need a new pair of white jeans as well!

I too think they look super chic. But for me fashion is also about fun. For me if all fashion so tasteful things would be so much less fun. I found my move to London so liberating in this sense 🙂

Just the white jeans, Heather? Surely you jest! I’ll take one of everything!! And the pic of Emmanuelle Alt with Capucine is perfection (one outfit one day, and the other the next).

    Oui ditto!

But what does she wear (ie: color) to a 5pm wedding in early September overlooking the ocean in Santa Monica when the invitation states “Formal”?

    Help.

I’m leaving for Paris in 2 days, and I refuse to dress like the typical American tourist. My friends keep telling me I’m crazy to leave my gym shoes and shorts at home, but at home they will stay. Also staying at home will be my stacks of bracelets, which I have long suspected are an invention of the American blogger. While fun to look at, they are uncomfortable, and loud! Seeing these photos confirms for me the elegance of simplicity of a look I strive for. So flattering, and easy. Thank you!
