Speaking of Paris

Thank you so much for all the kind words about my New year’s post and Paris apartment rental suggestions. I’m even more excited to get starting planning my extended stay now. And speaking of Paris, I found some new photos of Diane von Furstenberg‘s Saint Germain apartment.  I posted some images from House & Garden magazine shortly after I started my blog in 2007 and it still looks great today. My next goal might be to buy an apartment in Paris so I can pop over every time I need my French fix.
Happy New Year!

When in Europe, don’t forget to also visit fabulous London and also smaller but chic cities like Stockholm and Copenhagen. I think you would like them! Caroline

I can never get enough of Paris! The bold colors in DVF’s home are inspiring me to try more color in 2014!

The VIEW, the chocolate bookcase and those RUSSIAN Chairs. The best of the best of chic.
    A pied-a-terre in Paris–go for it!

Hi Heather, I wanted to post on your ‘move to Paris” but lost track of it. Anyway it’s a fabulous idea – DO IT!! I did in my twenties and it was the best thing I ever did. I went as a student and studied architecture, history and language. It has stayed with me forever – after I had daughters naturally I took them to Paris and the South of France, all over – literally. We’ve only missed Marseille and the Lausanne area.
I can’t remember if you mentioned new resolutions or not but here’s a great, book, great because the technique is NEW and based on neuroscience: You may know it but just in case: The Power of Habit: Why We Do What We Do in Life and Business by Charles Duhigg
Good Luck with your wonderful plans!

St. Germain is my very favorite neighborhood in Paris and DVF’s apartment is perfection!
