Bon Weekend: 27 June 2014

This has been a bit of a crazy week of juggling work responsibilities with social events. It started with a little visit to the Musée Rodin (above) which is within walking distance from my new apartment.  I’ll have more on this soon. The big sales started this Wednesday and I’ve shopped a little at Le Bon Marché.  They have the best lingerie selection and I’ve been buying lots of pretty things. Many people are in town this week on vacation and for the men’s fashion shows too. I’ve met up with a designer from New York and am looking forward to attending the Hermès fashion show on Saturday night. I even spent a fun morning at the Marché aux Puces Saint-Ouen with the buyers for Jayson Home in Chicago. I’m actually a little glad it’s raining right now in Paris because maybe it will help me get caught up on work and give me time to put some fun blog posts together for the coming days.
Bon Week-end !

I was lucky to meet the rep for a new lingerie brand Monette that was founded by Assya Hiridjee, the former designer of Princesse Tam Tam, another favorite French lingerie brand, while shopping at Le Bon Marché this week.  The lace and details are exquisite and also luckily on sale. I think they are carried at Bergdorf Goodman in New York but you can also buy them online from Net-a-Porter

It was such a treat to shop shop the Marché aux Puces Saint-Ouen under the expert guidance of the buyers from Jayson Home Friday morning.  A few of you have asked about shipping and Camard is on site to help you with any questions and pricing. I’ve also heard that the Le Marché aux Puces de Vanves is another good flea market to visit for smaller items that you can pack in your suitcase.  Just get there early because they close between noon and 1:00pm.

After leaving the team from Jayson Home, I took a little walk and saw this pretty flower shop Moulié Fleurs that extended all the way around the corner

I also played tourist and walked to the Eiffel Tower.  I look forward to making one of the next visitors to Paris go to the top with me.  Bon Weekend!

    Hello,

Please tell me what shoes you wear when walking as much as you do (and what I would do also) and still look chic? Are cute tennis shoes with simple and chic outfits the way to go? Heading there next summer!

    Thank you

Joanne -I’ve mentioned a few times that I wear Chloe scalloped flats or flats sandals from Roger Vivier. This trip I brought an old pair of Christian Louboutin flats that I have been wearing a lot. I never wear sneakers although a pair wouldn’t be a bad idea for rainy days.

Beautiful pictures! What fun to shop the sales in Paris. I did it once a few years ago and it was so much fun!
