I almost bought a last minute flight to Paris for this weekend because my favorite brocante ia happening in the Marais.  It didn’t end up working out so instead of going to Paris, I brought Paris to me.

When I was living there this summer, I fell in love with jewelry by Marion Vidal after walking by a vitrine of her pieces in Le Bon Marche department store.  I fell even more in love with them after finding out that she studied architecture and designed jewelry for Celine.

I’ve been wearing a lot of black this winter and I decided to finally buy a necklace I saw in Paris. It will be perfect with a black cashmere crewneck sweater as well as dresses for upcoming holiday parties. Since it was no longer available on her e-shop site, I ordered it from Valery Demure. Marion also has her own shop in the 9th arrondissement of Paris.

I also picked up the new issue of Porter magazine with beautiful Cate Blanchett on the cover. Porter is produced by Net-a-Porter and you may want to mark your calendars for Monday, December 1st when their annual sale begins.

Peonies used to only be available in the Flower District in the winter but now I can find them at my neighborhood bodega.  They are the perfect pick me up for the winter doldrums.
