I found the photo above on Pinterest today attributed to the late designer David Hicks. It is actually the Paris home of designer Dominique Kieffer that was featured in Italian Marie Claire Maison in 2008. The tile floor in the entry and the herringbone wood floors are common in many French homes which was the first tip off that it was not by the British designer. The Italian translation of the article leaves a lot to be desired but it sounds like the apartment was put together from a buying a few apartments and includes many fabrics that Dominique designed for Rubelli as well as pieces collected over the years. But in this case, a photo is worth a thousand words and doesn’t really need any explanation.
