Now that New York Fashion Week left Lincoln Center, designers have been shaking up the way they show their new collections. Wes Gordon is presenting his Fall 2016 fashions in short films and Instagram images some of which were shot in the very chic apartment of Stephen Sills. Considering how cold it is in New York right now, I’m very happy to watch fashion shows in the warmth of my apartment.

Even the way we shop has been changing. You can pre-order every Wes Gordon Fall 2016 look on Moda Operandi for delivery in six months but some designers like Burberry will show clothing this fall that will be available immediately.  The New York Times address this and other fashion week issue in the recent article How Smartphones Are Killing Off the Fashion Show. Thanks to the immediacy of fashion week images, the public sounds like Veruca Salt each season, “I want it now” and the fashion designers have heard their cry. I think it’s just a matter of time until we can have everything now.
