It rained quite a few mornings in Paris and it’s been rainy in New York since I returned which of course has me thinking of trench coats. I have yet to find one to replace my beloved Gryphon trench that finally had to be retired but I think a few of these options might be serious contenders.

If you’re going to start looking anywhere for a trench, it should be at Burberry. They make the most iconic styles and Clémence Poésy looked great in hers during London Fashion Week above. The Kensington Trench might be the one for me.

I thought about buying this APC Trench in Paris but I thought I should look around a little bit more first. Now I’m kicking myself.

I tried on this Washed Cotton Trench and I loved the relaxed feel. It reminds me of the soft feel of my Gryphon trench.

I love the clean lines and covered button placket on this Cotton and Silk Gabardine Trench.

Another relaxed style is this Madewell Gabardine Trench.

I actually have a beautiful tan trench with a removable fur collar but it’s too long to wear with jeans. I love the shorter hem on this Yulia Trench.

Another minimal style without buttons is the Oaklane Crepe Trench.

This Ann Taylor Trench has a fun coral lining to cheer you up on rainy days.

I like the darker color and clean lines of this Lemaire Trench too.

This Pleated Trench is business in the front and party in the back.
