As I start my second week in Paris, I thought update you on what I’ve been doing so far.  The weather has been a bit temperamental so I spent a lot of my first few days trying to run errands and shopping in between rain and snow showers. I’ve attended a few gorgeous fashion shows and presentations and caught up with many friends.

I’m staying on the Place des Vosges which is a fun change for me. I’ve been enjoying Le Marais and all it’s wonderful museums, shops, and restaurants. Perhaps because of the weather, I’ve noticed everyone is wearing sneakers just like in my recent post. Stella McCartney even showed them on the runway this morning. I saw her and her father, Sir Paul McCartney at her store in the Palais-Royale. I bought myself a pair of French sneakers from Zespa, Aix-en-Provence at French Trotters. You can buy them in the US here.

The weather is supposed to be a bit better this week so I look forward to walking around more and seeing all my favorite sights in addition to doing a little more shopping. Might as well take advantage of the favorable Euro conditions while I can.

À tout à l’heure,

HC

Many museums are free on the first Sunday of the month so I visted a few including the Archives Nationales. Ive visited the jardins many times but I never went inside before.

No visit to Paris is complete without stopping by Astier de Villatte. I bought their new book Ma Vie a Paris which is a guidebook to the city. It might be available in English in the fall but as of now you can only buy it in French. Reading it is good for practicing your French.

The locks have been removed from the Pont des Arts and I have to say that it’s a pleasure to cross the bridge again.
