Victoria Hagan‘s Grand American Salon living room at the 2016 Kips Bay Decorator Show House marks her return to the show house after many years away. It feels like a modern interpretation of her blue and white beach house rooms that is perfect for city life. The inspiration was one of her own Instagram photos on which she had the word “Dream” superimposed that anchors one end of the room. A tall red lacquered fireplace anchors the other side while a wall of windows with LED light trimmed curtains connects the two. Hagan said of the room, “I wanted to do a contemporary living room that reflects light and dreams. I wanted this to be a happy room.” Looks like she succeeded.
