After being mostly unplugged for a week, I’m trying to get caught up on news and current events. One thing that came to light last week was that Lee Radziwill‘s Paris apartment is for sale by Emilie Garcin. The three bedroom 6th floor apartment on Avenue Montaigne in the 8th arrondissement with a view of the Eiffel Tower can be yours for $4 Million.

Paris has held a special place in Lee Radziwill’s heart since she and her sister Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis first visited in 1951.  She said that “Paris is life-enhancing for all those reasons we know and all those words that have become so banal.” The 84 year old is selling because she doesn’t spend as much time there as she used to and now prefers to stay at the Plaza Athénée.

She told Hamish Bowles of Vogue in an interview, “I asked Christian Liaigre to help me achieve this extraordinary sense of calm. That’s what I feel. I don’t know what happened, but I lost the desire to acquire more things. It’s very peaceful to have lost that desire.”

I’ve also lost the desire to acquire more things but I’d happily make an exception for this apartment.

Thank you very much! A slice of history… and I love the view. Not because of the Eiffel tower, I just like the concept of it. Old big cities look gorgeous when bathed in greenery like this.
