Street Style September 2017

Fashion week just ended in New York and the nice weather led to a lot of great street style looks. As you know, I only highlight the ensembles that are relatable and wearable. I’m absolutely loving all the longer midi-length dresses and cropped loose trousers that both show off great shoes. I actually saw three women at shows wearing silky blue midi-length dresses so now I am on the look out for one. I don’t think the Tibi Convertible Silk Crepe Dress in the photo above will work for me but it does have a detachable funnel neck so maybe I’ll give it a try. I’ll keep you posted.

Bon week-end !

I love all these looks. They are flattering on a range of body shapes and ages. The funnel-collar dress and the striped dresses below it look straight out of the late ’70s/early ’80s. So do the jeans. Like Meg Ryan in “When Harry Met Sally.”

Wonderful inspiration! I purchased the Prada kitten bow pumps in photo 12 to wear with a formal gown last month, and now I can’t wait to wear them with other outfits.

Do you know who makes the beautiful blue sweater in the second photo? Such a gorgeous color.

Great choices! I get as much inspiration from street style these days as the runways. It’s interesting how much more casual fashion people have become. I use Victoria Beckham as a good barometer for what’s happening. She always looks great weather it’s in a form fitting dress, which was what she wore almost exclusively when she started her business, or jeans, as she’s been sporting lately. Regardless she always nails it. See some of my favorite VB posts here:http://www.primadarling.com/fashion/transitional-check-in-with-victoria-beckham/
