I look forward to your yearly homage to BLACK. This year, at the start of cold weather I was pulling out my sweaters, boots, gloves, coats, etc and thought, “they’re all black, this is too much black, and now at 71, perhaps some color needed, I might look drab and washed out, etc. etc. etc.” Black is cohesive and sculptural within its form, be it a turtleneck sweater or a black Jaguar. It defines the subject unlike any other color. I love it and remain a staunch advocate for it. Thank you for freeing me from my guilt of loving black.
Always happy to help! My rule of thumb for black is to wear it on more cloudy and grey days. I think it can look a little too dark on bright sunny days so that’s when I try to wear grey or navy.

Heather: this year’s “Black Post” is just the best and I love the quotes! I always say that I have so much black in my closet that I need a flashlight to find something! And I am also hoping for a Cartier Tank watch…but I think it best to start saving my own pennies…
