What I’m Packing

I’ve gone a little crazy shopping lately. Luckily, most of it was on sale or not that expensive but I’m pretty sure I’m cut off now. In my defense, a lot of it has been for my trips to Bermuda and the Hamptons, and my upcoming trip to Nantucket. Since many of you expressed an interest in the pieces I’ve bought for myself, I thought this would be a good time to share them with you.

Since all three of these destinations have been islands, I’ve tried to stick with a color palette of navy, white, and pink with a few other pieces thrown in. Since I’ve been traveling a little early in the season, I’ve had to pack a lot of layers and pants. You could always swap out the pants for shorts and cut down on the sweaters. Although, it does get cool at night on the water at these locations so pack accordingly.

Big thanks to everyone who reached out with recommendations for Nantucket too. I have a great list shaping up and now I just have to figure out how to make it to all these amazing places!

I bought this cute striped Seersucker Tunic last year and was mad that I forgot to pack it for Bermuda. It’s definitely going to Nantucket with me. I ordered Petite and had my tailor shorten the sleeves so they hit where they do on the model. I think I might have sewed up the top a little bit too. It also comes in pink this year and I’m debating whether I need another one.

Because I never met a blue shirt I didn’t like, I also ordered this Cotton Fine Stripe Shirt. It arrived last night and it fits perfectly. This type of top is great for layering and wearing on the plane.

I fell in love with this Cropped Strip Trimmed Sweatshirt yesterday but it wasn’t available in my size. I’m glad I looked at my Wish List items again today because it came back in stock. It’s another great layering piece that will be perfect for Nantucket. It is cropped so it might be best with higher waisted pants or could be fun with a skirt.

I saw a photo from a party in the Hamptons this weekend and everyone, and I mean everyone, was wearing white jeans and navy sweater. They are the perfect day to night pant when it’s chilly.

There’s a lot of biking and hiking on Nantucket so I’m trying to pack practical shoes. These striped Espadrilles are actually water shoes. I was on the fence about them until I read the rave reviews online. They will be perfect for beach walks and rainy days since they dry in 15 minutes.

I almost always back my lightweight anorak from Everlane for trips in case of rain. My old one is no longer available but I also own this heavier City Anorak which is amazing on rainy days. It also comes in black and army green. The weather can be unpredictable on islands and along the coast so it’s good to be prepared.

I ordered this Striped Button Shoulder Sweatshirt before my Hamptons trip but it didn’t arrive in time but I’m definitely packing it for Nantucket. It is also available in green and white stripes and blue and white stripes which are all on sale for $21.99!  I bought the plain Button Shoulder Sweater in ivory to wear with jeans and it’s on sale for $20.99 and comes in black too.

I own these Slim Cropped Pants in black and wear them often in the city so I ordered navy to take on trips.

I didn’t wear sneakers in the Hamptons but I’m going to bring a few pairs for Nantucket and these New Balance perfectly match my packing color palette.

I feel like my favorite summer Celine Phantom Cabas Tote with Tassels might be too fancy for Nantucket so I just ordered this Large Canvas Tote with Striped Straps. I love that the straps have a red/orange color underneath for a pop of color.

I bought this Modern Utility Jacket for spring and needed it at the end of the Bermuda trip when the temperature dropped. It also comes in black and army green but I really wish it came in navy.

I bought this striped Everlane Cotton Long-Sleeve Crew for Bermuda and it also came in handy on a cooler day. I also bought it in pink but it’s sold out. My biggest frustration with Everlane is that things sell out and they don’t restock them in a timely manner.
This is the pink version of the blue Seersucker Tunic I bought last summer.

I bought this Silk Button Up Shirt in almost every color. It’s my new favorite blouse to wear with everything. I also bought the Silk Button Up Shirt in the party dot pattern and the matching Pleated Midi Skirt. I love the outfit and might pack it for a dinner on Nantucket.

This is the bright peri blue version of my favorite Slim Cropped Pants. They would be so cute for Nantucket!

I just ordered Superga Sneakers in white but now I’m thinking I need pink too.

This is the one shirt that I haven’t bought yet but I’m sure it will be in my cart by the end of the day. I love buttondowns for traveling because they’re great for layering. I think this Liberty floral pattern might be a fun complement to the striped skirt below.

I ordered this Striped Side Button Skirt the minute I saw it online because I can picture myself strolling around Nantucket while wearing it with a pink sweater and the shirt above.

I really can’t believe I never bought white Superga Sneakers before. They are a cute option to wear with pants and skirts while traveling. They also just went on sale for $44.95 so I’m going to have to call for a price adjustment.

When I was cleaning out my closet recently, I came across a cross body lightship basket bag which I’ll probably pack for Nantucket but this Harper Bag would be a cute option too.

My favorite white dress from Sézane sold out so quickly that I didn’t get a chance to share it with you but this Embroidered Eyelet Ruffled Dress is also cute. It arrived yesterday and looks a little more off white than white.

I took these Striped Espadrilles to the Hamptons and they were really cute and comfortable. They are black though so I don’t know if I’ll take them to Nantucket or not. I wish they came in navy too.

I needed a new summer hat so I just ordered this Straw Sun Hat when it was on sale but I can’t wait to visit Peter Beaton Hat Studio when I’m on Nantucket.

I also plan to pack a light Beach Blanket in case I want to stop by a beach while I’m out exploring.

I love packing nightgowns while traveling since they don’t take up much room. My favorite looks like it might be sold out but I’d wear this Cotton Gathered Sleeve Nightgown too.

If I need to pack anything else for Nantucket, please let me know.
XOXO,
HC
