We had the first real day of crisp, cool fall weather in New York and it was glorious! I’m so happy the muggy and humid weather is over so I can wear sweaters without sweating. I hope you get out and enjoy yourself this weekend. I’ve rounded up a few things you might want to check out and put on your calendar for next week. Hopefully, the nice weather will continue for them all.

I just watched the first episode of The Romanoffs on Amazon Prime and it was better than I expected. The first one is set in Paris and revolves around a grand apartment so what’s not to like really? The series consists of eight different mini-movies created, written, produced, and directed by Matthew Weiner of Mad Men fame. Each one is set in a different part of the world and features characters who believe themselves to be descendants of the Russian royal family. They star Aaron Eckhart, Diane Lane, Isabelle Huppert, Christina Hendricks, John Slattery, Amanda Peet, Jack Huston, Kathryn Hahn, Noah Wyle, Paul Reiser, Andrew Rannells and more. The hope the rest of the episodes are as amusing as the first.

Make sure you pickup the Wall Street Journal on Saturday so you can get a copy of WSJ. Magazine. The cover story is about Keven Systrom, one of the founders of Instagram, who announced that he’s leaving the platform that they sold to Facebook. Speaking of Facebook, they recently had another data breach so you may want to change your password asap.

I definitely wasn’t getting up early for Princess Eugenie’s Royal Wedding today but I did enjoy seeing all the photos. The couple talked about how it was love at first sight when they met and it genuinely looked like a beautiful wedding. You can see a full run down of everything on the Town & Country magazine website.

Le Bilboquet on the Upper East Side can get a little rowdy so I prefer their sister restaurant Le Charlot where I can still order the cajun chicken even though it’s not on the menu. Now they have just added a third restaurant to the group, Fleming which just opened on East 62nd Street. I haven’t been yet but it looks very chic.

I’m looking forward to Dutch Masters at the Met that opens on Tuesday, October 16th at The Metropolitan Museum of Art. It will feature sixty-seven works of Dutch art from the 17th-century “organized thematically, the exhibition will orient visitors to key issues in seventeenth-century Dutch culture—from debates about religion and conspicuous consumption to painters’ fascination with the domestic lives of women.”

TEFAF is one of the best art and antique fairs that I eagerly look forward to every spring and fall. The incredible quality of the pieces rivals anything you will find in a museum. The opening night party is Thursday, October 26th with public viewing from Friday, October 27th to Wednesday, October 31st. Definitely order your tickets now.

I actually got to wear a sweater and a coat today and I loved it. I’m trying to branch out from wearing only grey cashmere sweaters so I bought this one in oatmeal today. Baby steps.

I ran out of most of my skincare products recently so I pulled out some that I had set aside. I’m loving the Rescue Serum by facialist Joanna Vargas. It’s the perfect hydrating serum for the cooler temperatures and makes me look skin glow.

On Tuesday, I’m heading to Ashville, North Carolina to tour the Biltmore Estate. I visited once when I was 12 and I’ve always wanted to go back. The leaves might not be changed in color yet because of the recent warm weather but I’m excited to go nonetheless. I love old houses and the old Vanderbilt mansion is the largest private home ever built in the country. You can follow along as usual on Instagram and Stories.

Bon Week-end !

XOXO,
