We’re expecting 5-8 inches of snow Sunday night into Monday morning but that is not stopping me from buying spring clothes. Luckily, we can shop in the comfort of our own homes instead of going outside in bad weather and Sézane is one of my favorite places to shop online. I’m always amazed that my orders arrive quicker from Sézane in France than they do from US retailers who haven’t stepped up their game yet.

The March 2019 Sézane collection that just launched today was inspired by Havana but if a French girl went there on holiday and how that inspired her style.

“Paris runs through our veins, grounding everything we do. Yet our eyes remain open to the world around us. Each season we’re called to new destinations, to seek out inspiration and to confront a reality beyond our own. We return brimming with new ideas, new convictions- elated by the energy and soul of a place. For our spring collection, we embarked on a voyage to Cuba. On visiting anyplace so shrouded in mysticism and history, one inevitably takes along with them certain preconceptions. We chose Cuba based on a creative intrigue. What we discovered was a place of fragile beauty. Of warm, generous people ready to share their story with us. A place where the past and its legacy stands in plain sight, and where the shadows of melancholy, joy and hope, live side by side. I believe in the importance of sharing this enthralling culture with you (even if we have only just skimmed its surface).” – Morgane Sezalory, founder of Sézane

Even though I can’t wear any of my spring clothes yet, I like looking at them hanging in my closet and knowing I will be ready for warmer days when they finally arrive.
