How to Style White Jeans for Fall

I had a friend and former client ask me for fashion advice and wanted another post on how to style white jeans for fall. The weather seems to stay warm until October lately so you can definitely wear white jeans past Labor Day if you style them for the season. That means putting away your pastels and beachy accessories and replacing them with neutrals and darker colors and heavier fabrics. It’s the time to start wearing camel, suede, and cashmere so you look appropriate for city life. I’ve styled a few outfits to help get you started.

Bon weekend!

XOXO,

HC

It’s cool and grey in New York this morning so it might be time to pull out the coats sooner than usual. I bought a camel coat last year and I love the darker shade of this oversized wool coat.

I dare say it might be sweater weather and I wish I had this shaker ribbed cashmere sweater to pair with my jeans.

These mid-rise skinny jeans are perfect for transitioning to fall.

Nothing says autumn more to me than these pointed-toe leopard calf hair flats. The tiny heel could also work with skirts and dresses.

I love the pop of red on this camel leather tote bag and that it can be worn as a handbag or on the shoulder.

I love wearing silk scarves like this modern plaid silk scarf when the weather is chilly but not yet cold enough for a cashmere scarf.

Long time readers know much I love a grey coat and how many I already own. I may have to make room for one more because this wool blend car coat is reversible. It’s also available in a camel and ivory option.

I’ve posted this Everlane grey cashmere crewneck sweater before but that’s because it’s the MVP of my wardrobe. The charcoal is my fall favorite but it’s available in 17 different colors and from XXS to XXL for only $100.

I love these cropped high-rise skinny jeans since you can wear them with heels or flats.

Since I wear so much grey in the fall and winter, I love snakeskin shoes like these snake-effect leather point-toe flats. They are available in five other colors and materials too.

I also love pairing burgundy with grey and this Khaite Circle medium leather tote is the perfect option. It includes a pouch inside too.

This resin and gold-plated bracelet would add pizzazz to any outfit at a great price.

I love the flecks of color in this English wool blazer.

You can’t go wrong with pairing a chambray shirt with white jeans. It would also look great topped with a camel coat too.

These cropped high-rise skinny jeans are chic in white but are also available in six other colors.

Burgundy Gucci loafers remind me of walking across campus on dry leaf covered paths. If this color doesn’t work for you, there are 23 other color and fabric options from which to choose.

Go leaf peeping or apple picking without worrying about losing your bag with this taupe half moon shoulder bag.

Add a pop of color to your fall wardrobe with this heritage equestrian print scarf.

I need to add a black evening blazer to my closet this fall and this satin-jacquard blazer has a snazzy leopard print that could be a fun choice.

I love the pale blossom version of this HATCH X J.Crew ruffle silk popover shirt that I bought recently so I plan to buy the black one too.

These cropped high-rise skinny jeans are a fashionista favorite.

These Sarah Flint Perfect Pumps really are perfect. They have padding inside and come with rubber soles so they are ready to go out of the box. There is a higher heel version and a lower one to so there’s something for everyone. They are also available in 12 other colors.

I love my burgundy Hermès Kelly bag but I’d love to add this black Kelly bag to my fall wardrobe.

These gold-plated onyx earrings would be great for after work cocktail parties.

This perfect rain jacket was one of the best things I bought earlier this year. It works just as well on chilly days as it does on rainy ones. The moss green color is perfect for fall but it comes in five other colors.

I weirdly don’t own an ivory cable knit sweater right now so I have this Mixed Cable Wool & Cashmere Blend Sweater on my list. It’s on sale and comes in a forest green that matches the rain jacket for a monochrome look.

These 9″ high-rise toothpick jean in white are 40% off right now.

These camoflauge sneakers would match any of these outfits and more for running around in cooler weather.

This burgundy camera bag would add some color to neutral fall ensembles but also comes in tan and black.

When it cools down more, I’ll be pulling out my Heidi Wynne cashmere scarf in the Habitually Chic color I collaborated on with her.
