I can’t remember the first time I met interior designer Joy Moyler over 10 years ago but I do remember two memorable moments. One time, I ran into her in the ladies room of Bergdorf Goodman and afterward, we shopped the home section together where I found a set of beautiful vintage plates on sale. I swear she was a good luck charm. Another time, she invited me to a party when she was working for Armani Casa and made a point of introducing me to her client John Mayer. She is seriously the nicest and most positive person and I’m happy that she’s being more widely recognized for her work now. A beautiful English manor house she refreshed for a client is featured in the January 2021 issue of Architectural Digest and even though she’s American, she really understands how to make a country house comfortable for a young family.
