Linda Rodin and The Row
by habituallychic
01 . 18 . 14I’ve often wondered if America’s obsession with youth will ever wane but lately I feel like there is change in their air. Older actresses are showing they can hold their own against the ingenues on the red carpet and in some cases out shine them. And recently The Row cast 60+ year old Linda Rodin to model looks from their Pre-Fall 2014 collection. Linda used to model so obviously that helps or maybe it’s also proof that her famous Olio Lusso face oil actually works. If you haven’t used it, I highly recommend picking up a bottle. I gave it a try after spying it backstage at every fashion show and now I can’t live without it. Since The Row is insanely luxurious and quite expensive, it also make sense to appeal to an older demographic. According to Style.com, the designers were “influenced by images of older men and women at work in their gardens.” Something I can’t imagine social media obsessed youth doing which is another reason Linda is a perfect fit.

She looks fabulous! It’s about time the over 60’s had a chance to shine.
It really is a stunning presentation. I never tire of images of Linda Rodin…she is SO photogenic.
LOVE seeing the wrinkles under her chin…I really mean that….that you can when you magnify the pic….. And that finally gorgeous women who are paid to be photographed have them too! Inspirational campaign.
I just want to look like her…I agree with your post. Youth, youth…
Hear, hear! (she says, rapping her ebony, silver tipped cane 🙂 )
Love her style, and omg-that leather coat…

wow, I hope I have that style and grace when I am her age,, and at the rate time is going it shouldn’t be too long!!
She’s smashing- love her.
Thank you for sending us beauty and style beyond 22 – years of age!!!
Ditto all, including the cane rapping/banging lady, but the bouclé coat would be my first choice.
Looking forward to having this white hair – also like Jared Leto’s mom, we might be the same age, but she looks better! Mine is nearly as long, just not mostly white. Yet. Cheers!
possibly it’s because I’ve entered my own Mid-40ishness but I seem to be pulled toward women who are older these days. I find inspiration in the fact that there are chic, sexy, beautiful older women that I can look up to.
All of Rodin’s images are lovely and refreshing. Plus The Row? one of each please
Linda Rodin is such an inspiration. Do love her own style more than this pared back look though.
