Chic Casa

11 . 16 . 09I picked up the October 2009 issue of AD Espana today and these photos are the reason why I love the foreign editions of the magazine! The home belongs to the Spanish fashion designer Angel Schlesser and that’s about all I can tell you since I don’t speak Spanish but I think the home speaks for itself. It has the great mix of furniture and art that I always admire in European homes. And those bookshelves are to die for! I definitely recommend picking up this issue! There are photos of Kelly Wearstler’s beach house and Francisco Costa’s New York apartment in it as well. Hasta la vista!

I know…we can only hope that the US edition pulls it’s socks up…I love the European AD’s, but I can’t read them either!
As an avid reader with more than a few books to store and display, I certainly can appreciate the first photo.

Love, love those bookshelves, and the finish on that desk is to die for. Who needs words when there are such beautiful images? 🙂
I just started following your blog and I’ve loved every one of your posts. What good taste you have…mainly because it is like mine!
What a beautiful home indeed. I like the chairs a lot.

Incredibly chic home! As someone who doesn’t have a ton of money to drop on artwork, what is your recommendation for great finds? My walls are screaming for adornment.
Love the bookshelves — and those hair-on-hide chairs!
Isn’t it strange that, in the majority of cases, one can spot a
European or foreign interior in a second? Because I spend a lot of time in Mexico and Buenos Aires, I am always reading AD Espana, AD Mexico, Argentina, etc and have always found them heads above the American edition. This months
Argentina AD was also sensational and it always is. Did happen to pick up the Amerian version of AD at the airport(a first in years!) and after skimming it, left in the seat pocket. Good post Heather.
purty. especially those shelves with the stacked books.

i wish the US edition would step it up. AD Espana is always heads and tails above US. And we can’t buy any of it or understand where the furniture/accessories are sourced! Maybe I need to learn spanish.
Love, love, love. Spanish and German AD…
