I Heart Phillip Lim!

07 . 13 . 08How do I love Phillip Lim? Let me count the ways…beautiful dresses, gorgeous knits, fabulous necklaces…you get the idea. I’ve been wearing Phillip Lim for a few years now and am always surprised that even though they may at first appear simple, his clothes are full of interesting details and are wonderfully finished inside and out. I wore what I considered to be a simple little sleeveless top on Friday and was amazed at how many strangers stopped me to tell me how much they liked it. That is the power of Phillip Lim. His designs for fall seen here, have me swooning and wishing for cooler weather. If anyone needs me today, I’ll be at Barney’s and Bergdorf’s shopping!

phillip lim’s designs are wonderful and so fun to wear. i’m glad he’s finally getting the attention he deserves. i’m so glad he won that cfda award last year.
I love all of this! His men’s collection is just as inspiring…
He deserves the awards and attention! He’s so fabulous and the best part is that his clothes are actually affordable compared to most of what’s out there.
I haven’t seen the men’s clothes in person. I will have to check them out but the baby/kids clothes are adorable!!!
Having spent an illustrious career designing for several of the top design houses, Fall was always my favorite season. That first crisp day brought about much excitement – along with butternut squash soup and a fresh apple. Back to school, and back to Fashion – after a summer of t’s, jeans, summer dresses and sandals. I feel the same excitement every Fall and these are the perfect “lim” to make me swing!
Gorgeous. I wish I wasn’t on such a tight budget because I’d buy half of those ensembles!
I love his clothes too and I get the same reaction from random people. Plus I feel feel fabulous in them – more to the point!
So funny you posted this today. I wore a stunning Lim silk shift to dinner the other night and as I was walking through to our table, a lady stopped me to say how lovely my dress was. As far as I am concerned, those compliments are returns on your investment!!
I also really like his clothing, but we should keep the blog focused on design.
Anonymous, When I started this blog, I made it clear that it would be about design, art, architecture, fashion, books and anything else I felt compelled to post about. If you have a problem with it, you can start your own blog.
